      Our Aims

Performers Together CIC
Named descriptively as Performers Together, our logo includes the Greek sign Sigma - the sum of all - we are a Community Interest Company, a new form of business structure with charitable aims, whose title defines our identity and which is ideally suited to a venture of this sort.

What would a new venue offer?
Deriving from the original responses to the Blue Skies Report, our new venue would provide:

Σ Principally mainstream plays and musicals by one or more seasonally resident companies supplemented by touring companies.

Σ Festivals - of choirs, dance, amateur theatre companies, school productions, concerts and bands.

Rehearsal facilities, particularly for choirs and music groups.

Training in self presentation and related skills, particularly for the young; also workshops in performance skills of all kinds for all ages.

Talks and lectures, also hire of the venue.

Our aims for the community
We aim to provide benefits or opportunities to individuals, clubs, societies, educational establishments or companies in the practice of any of the performing arts. Our focus is on audiences derived from the community living or working within a 35 mile radius of The Borough, Farnham, Surrey

We seek to improve any performing arts facility or acquire or build a performing arts centre in the town of Farnham or its surrounding districts and thereafter managing and administering the Performing Arts Centre.

In addition we hope to provide financial or other practical support to assist individuals educational establishments or performing arts organisations in the practice of the performing arts within the community.

How we operate
The CIC needs a board of Directors and also Members who can vote and will help inform policy.

Some Members have already offered expert advice in publicity and business management but we welcome those with a wider variety of skills. The way we intend to work is to get 100 people to do the work of 5 not 5 to do the work of 100, thereby making the best use of the specific and particular expertise of each volunteer, without asking too much of any one person

Directors of the Company
Richard Sandars (Farnham Theatre Association)
Mike Silver (Farnham Theatre Association)
Kate Napier (Artifice)

Co-opted Members acting as advisors:
Joe Michel (Community Associates)
Anne Cooper (Farnham Theatre Association)

There are opportunities to appoint more Directors and Member Advisors. We particularly would welcome women onto the Board and someone with theatre/arts management experience.
